I was able to get 10 shafts out to tour players and we had three officially in play. (I don't have the Darrell Survey results yet, so maybe more). I met a few new guys this week. Chip Beck, Dave Stockton, Mark Wiebe, J.C. Snead, John Morse, Jim Woodward, Angel Franco and Roy Vucinich. We offered our tour only hybrid shaft out this week on the Champions tour for the first time. They were an immediate hit! Angel Franco took my demo and put it into play. Steve Thomas also took a shaft. Jim Woodward switched out his Diamana shafts in both his driver and 3 wood for the new Tour Fire shafts in both clubs. He put them into play. Roy Vucinich and John Morse both tried the Gold Image shaft and liked the feel of them. I got them both shafts to shaft up for upcoming events. I talked with Andy Bean and Gene Jones about doing some custom shafts for them. Andy likes very heavy shafts and Gene likes very light shafts. The feedback continues to be great. The tour hybrid shafts are not available at this time, but I plan to have them available mid July.
I've got a couple weeks off until I head to Knoxville, TN for the Nationwide event. I'll keep you updated.

New Image Shafts-Champions Tour- Birmingham

May 12-14

New Image shafts had a good week getting product out to the players. R.W. Eaks has put the New Image Tour Fire shaft into play in his driver and continues to use the Gold Image in his 3 wood and 5 wood. I had several players try the New Image shafts for the first time and got some excellent feedback. Jay Don Blake took a demo driver with the Tour Fire shaft. He hit it great. We got shafts to Fultom Allem, Tim Simpson, Andy Bean, Bruce Vaughn and Gene Jones. A couple guys tried out the shafts Morris Hatalsky andFrank Shikle in a few demos. The feedback has been great. Well I'm off to Cleveland for the PGA Sr. Championship. It was great seeing all those guys out there that I had grown up watching. These guys are great and they can still hit it a mile! I ran into my good friend R.W. Eaks. R.W. continues to use the New Image shafts in his woods. He was the first tour player to use the shafts and has had great success over the past couple years. Eaks says "It's just the best shaft out here". He put the New Image Tour Fire shaft into play this week in his driver while still using the Gold Image in his fairway woods. He's a great guy. I also caught up with Andy Bean. Andy demo'd one of my Adams drivers with the Gold Image shaft. He liked it so much, that I lost my demo to him! He's a great guy as well. I wish both these guys continued success with my shafts. I've got five tour wins between these two guys. I met Mike Goodes, Dr. Gil Morgan, Jimmy Powell and Leonard Thompson this trip. All easy going guys. Mr. Thompson is going to try the Gold Image shaft during their two week break before heading to Birmingham. This was a good trip and my first venture to Savannah. What a beautiful place.

My next stop will be Birmingham, AL for the Regions Charity Classic in a few weeks. I'll catch up with you then. Thanks for your interest in the New Image shafts.

New Image Shafts - Nationwide Tour - Valdosta

April 20 - 21, 2009

I started my 2009 tour stops in Valdosta, GA at the South Georgia Classic (the Athens,GA event was rained out in the practice days) for the Nationwide event. It was good to see some of my friends I had met in the past. The new Tour Fire shaft got great reviews from both playability and the new look. Josh Broadaway (cross-handed golfer) gave the Tour Fire a try. He hit it very well and liked the feel of the shaft. He was going to try a few other heads with the different lofts to work on a few different ball flights. Josh is a super nice guy. Kevin Johnson also demo'd the Tour Fire shaft. He too hit it very well. Kevin is an easy going guy as well. Most of the guys on the Nationwide Tour I have dealt with have been very nice and good natured. I visited with many new guys to me like Ryan Cobb, Alistair Presnell, JL Lewis, Grant Waite, Chris Tidland and JJ Killeen. I also caught up with some guys that we got New Image shafts in their hands last year like Matt Every, Brian Smock and Joseph Sykora. All these guys are very good guys and I hope they all make it to the next level. I ended this stop with getting Neal Lancaster some tour hybrid shafts. We built these shafts exclusively for the tour. They are 95g- 105g shafts that feel like an iron shaft. He hit them very well and loved the feel. They ended up in his bag by the end of the day. I believe they were in play this week, but I'll have to confirm with the Darrell Survey. Neal is a down to earth good going guy. I hope the shafts continue to do well for him.
