New Image Shafts - Champions Tour - Beachwood, OH

May 22, 2009

The Senior PGA Championship - Beachwood, OH

This week was another good week for New Image shafts. I was able to get 10 shafts out to tour players and we had three officially in play. (I don't have the Darrell Survey results yet, so maybe more). I met a few new guys this week. Chip Beck, Dave Stockton, Mark Wiebe, J.C. Snead, John Morse, Jim Woodward, Angel Franco and Roy Vucinich. We offered our tour only hybrid shaft out this week on the Champions tour for the first time. They were an immediate hit! Angel Franco took my demo and put it into play. Steve Thomas also took a shaft. Jim Woodward switched out his Diamana shafts in both his driver and 3 wood for the new Tour Fire shafts in both clubs. He put them into play. Roy Vucinich and John Morse both tried the Gold Image shaft and liked the feel of them. I got them both shafts to shaft up for upcoming events. I talked with Andy Bean and Gene Jones about doing some custom shafts for them. Andy likes very heavy shafts and Gene likes very light shafts. The feedback continues to be great. The tour hybrid shafts are not available at this time, but I plan to have them available mid July.
I've got a couple weeks off until I head to Knoxville, TN for the Nationwide event. I'll keep you updated.

New Image Shafts-Champions Tour- Birmingham

May 12-14

New Image shafts had a good week getting product out to the players. R.W. Eaks has put the New Image Tour Fire shaft into play in his driver and continues to use the Gold Image in his 3 wood and 5 wood. I had several players try the New Image shafts for the first time and got some excellent feedback. Jay Don Blake took a demo driver with the Tour Fire shaft. He hit it great. We got shafts to Fultom Allem, Tim Simpson, Andy Bean, Bruce Vaughn and Gene Jones. A couple guys tried out the shafts Morris Hatalsky andFrank Shikle in a few demos. The feedback has been great. Well I'm off to Cleveland for the PGA Sr. Championship. I'll keep you posted next week.
